Abstract. The
contribution focuses on the establishment of the Czechoslovak legal system in
1918. It is based on an analysis of so-called “reception norm”, being connected
to the problems of continuity of law and the problems of sources of law, ending
up with the issues of overcoming legal trialism and dualism in a process known
as unification of law (to be reached only in 1950).
