A Few Words to the Appointive Powers of the President of the Slovak Republic.

Abstract. In this
article, author dedicates his attention to the topic of creative powers of the
President of the
Slovak Republic. He tries to indentify three main factors that have negatively
influenced
execution of these powers recently. Attention is payed primarily to the rule of
maintaining
of the proper functioning of constitutional bodies, implementation of direct
election of
President in the Slovak law system and in the last place, the historical
perception of status
of head of state. At the end of each section, the author tries to provide
possible solutions
how to improve prevailing negative state.
