Abstract. Governance
structure of the public research institution. The public research institution is
the entire new form of legal entity in the law of Slovak republic. The new
legislation has been designed to enable the transformation of the diverse kind
of the research organization in Slovak republic under the one new model
institution, mainly aimed to Slovak Academy of Sciences. The article deals with
the governance structure of the public research institution, its process of
creation, scope of authority, its mutual interaction, as well as some author´s
comments to the particular provisions of the new legislation.
