Published online: 31.8.2021 Abstract. After the establishment of the Czechoslovak State in 1918 only Slovak official publications were published in the form of official newspapers or official bulletins. Regulations of executive Slovak authorities were announced there or the previously issued central regulations were republished. The Slovak version of the central collections of laws (official journal) was produced in the form of an official translation. The Slovak language as an authentic version of regulation was introduced from the end of 1921. The first official collection publishing the generally binding statutes of law on the highest level proclaimed by the Slovak authorities commenced from 1939. After 1944, new collections established by the Slovak National Council were to be published. The Slovak official publication journals within the common state ceased their existence by 1959. Key words: publication of law; promulgation of law; official journals; provincial codes; statutes; application of law
